Michael Worsman is the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development. He leads MMA-BPG’s growth strategy in new market expansion and strategic partnerships.
Alongside brokers, consultants, and associations nationally, Michael advises on program design and best practices with value-added services for partners’ clients and members.
In addition, Michael provides strategy for our group and individual consulting teams, focusing on the design and delivery of insurance services – including health, life, disability, long term care, and executive compensation.
Michael also works with strategic accounts across the country. He has specific focuses in healthcare, academia, and with associations. He has developed customized programs for employers of varying sizes, designed and conducted national surveys, and designed innovative new products for top-rated insurance carriers.
Michael is a Group Disability Benefits Specialist (GDBS). He earned his undergraduate degrees from Duke University in Economics (BS) and Religion (BA), and did graduate work at Johns Hopkins University.
Before joining the BPG team, Michael taught economics and mathematics. He currently resides in Durham, North Carolina with his family. He also serves on the Board of Directors for two non-profits, Arts for Life and Listen First Project. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and serving in his church.
